1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom Sunburst

If you wanted Gibson’s top-of-the-line solidbody in 1973, the Les Paul Custom was the guitar to buy. This example features a flame maple top — an unusual feature for the period — under a Sunburst finish, together with factory-fitted Grover tuners.

Two covered humbuckers, gold hardware, multi-ply binding and a dark fingerboard with block inlays give it the familiar Custom specification. The split-diamond headstock inlay completes the appointments of Gibson’s flagship solidbody.

It comes with the exceptionally rare “Artist Case”, adding further interest to an already distinctive early-’70s Custom. 

It's all original, except for a perfect refret.
