1966 Fender Stratocaster
Looking for a ’60s Stratocaster at a reasonable price? This 1966 example sounds fantastic and combines a Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard and the large headstock introduced during Fender’s early CBS period. Visible playwear gives it some honest vintage character.
A few changes make this an accessible option for a player: later Fender “F” tuners have replaced the original Klusons, and the pickups are genuine Fender units dating to 1967. The familiar three-single-coil layout and synchronised tremolo deliver the classic Stratocaster experience.
A great-sounding mid-’60s Strat for someone who puts tone ahead of complete originality.
