1965 Fender Jaguar Candy Apple Red Custom Color

Finished in custom-colour Candy Apple Red with a matching headstock, this 1965 L-series Jaguar has developed extensive playwear and patina across the body and neck. The ageing gives the guitar a distinctive, genuinely played-in appearance while allowing the original custom finish to remain visually striking.

As Fender’s flagship model during the 1960s, the Jaguar combined an elaborate electronic layout with a comfortable short-scale neck and offset-body design. This example retains the desirable pre-CBS features of an unbound neck with dot inlays and a mint-green pickguard. The neck has a particularly comfortable feel, while the two original pickups sound full, rich and well balanced.

The neck is dated March 1965, and the potentiometers date to the eighth week of the same year. The guitar retains its original components apart from a refret, replacement nut and new pickup foam.
